Why Contribute?
At All Kinds of Minds, we believe that
all students should have the opportunity to find success in
learning; that all teachers should have the very best in tools and technology;
and that all schools should be able to serve their diverse populations equally.
We serve students by providing the knowledge about how they learn to teachers
and their schools. It is estimated that 20% of students in any classroom
exhibit serious indications of learning struggles – a total of 10 million
students in the United States alone. Often ineligible for special education
services or other interventions, they remain at risk of falling through the
cracks of our educational system, and they have the strongest risk of dropping
out.
While those students at risk of falling through the cracks require our
immediate attention, we also need to
transform our education system to meet the needs of all students. We
must transform our schools so that teachers in every classroom are advocating
student-centered learning.
